Elon Musk Announces Affordable Tesla 'Redwood' EV for 2025 Release
Elon Musk has recently made an exciting announcement regarding the development of a cutting-edge, affordable Tesla electric vehicle (EV). Anticipated to hit the market in the latter half of 2025, Musk is optimistic about introducing a revolutionary manufacturing system that will surpass global standards by a significant margin.

The upcoming vehicle is speculated to be a compact crossover named "Redwood," as reported by Reuters. Tesla has already reached out to suppliers, projecting a weekly production volume of 10,000 units. Notably, Musk had previously hinted at working on two new EV models with the potential to collectively reach a sales volume of up to 5 million units annually.

"We are on track to commence production towards the end of 2025, in the second half," Musk revealed. Initially, the "Redwood" will be produced at Tesla's Austin, Texas Gigafactory, with plans to expand to other locations worldwide in the future.

Musk emphasized a strong commitment to accelerating assembly, stating, "We'll practically be sleeping on the line." He also teased a groundbreaking manufacturing technique that would be exceptionally challenging to replicate, describing it as a form of "manufacturing inception" where one has to copy the machine that builds the machine that builds the machine.

As with previous Tesla production processes, Musk hinted that the new production line might start at a slower pace before experiencing a substantial ramp-up in production. The automotive world eagerly awaits the unveiling of this next-generation, low-cost Tesla EV and the innovative manufacturing system that accompanies it.
